Pastor Josh accepted Christ at the age of five, at Liberty Baptist Church, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, where his father was the pastor. As a Junior in High School, he felt the call to surrender to the ministry. Immediately after high school, Josh married his wife, Christi, and they moved to Wichita, Kansas, to serve in the US Air Force, having recently retired after 23 years of service. Josh and Christi have two children and one grandson.
Pastor Josh started his ministry journey as a youth pastor in and around the Oklahoma City area, serving and training youth for over 28 years. In 2016, Josh accepted the call to serve as Senior Pastor of 40th Street Baptist Church. When he is not working at the church, he enjoys spending time with his family, taking adventures with his lovely wife, and finding ways to stay in shape while eating ice cream and Mexican food. Pastor Josh loves the Lord with all his heart and seeks to live out 1 Corinthians 13:13 in every area of his life.
Worship Leader
Hannah Kinsey
Hannah has always been fascinated in all things music. She started singing the second she learned to talk.
Hannah accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was five years old and later felt Him calling her to use her musical talents to further His kingdom.
Hannah received a Bachelor of Science degree in Vocal Performance from Southern Nazarene University. She sings in a variety of genres, including jazz, classical and southern gospel. I also play the piano, clarinet and accordion. Aside from music, Hannah enjoys spending time with family, her dog, Dolly, reading a good book and coffee.

Chairman of the Deacons
Darin Kinsey
I was 11 years old when I came to know Christ as my savior. I remember Wallace Hampton led me to Christ.
I joined the Marines where I was meritoriously promoted and served honorably through multiple conflicts.
In 1989, I met my wife Marcie and we celebrated 32 years together on September 16, 2021, and God has given us 2 beautiful daughters who love the Lord as well.
We were not expecting to come to 40th Street Baptist Church, but after visiting one Sunday, I felt the Lord tugging on my heart and telling me this is where we were supposed to serve. We obeyed the Lord and it has been such a blessing and very rewarding.
I did not expect to become a Deacon and I had not even thought about it. I was there to serve and help however I could. Pastor Josh asked me to consider being a Deacon and I felt God was calling me to this service. I am very honored to serve the Lord, our church, and our pastor at 40th Street. I am still learning and still growing in Christ. I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in our Church as we continue on this journey. Our mission and my goal is to Lead others in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Deacon
Pete Randell
I was raised in a Christian home, and at the age of 19, I accepted Christ as my Savior. Two years later, I married my wife, Sherri, and 10 months later, we had our first child, Matthew. 3 years later, we had our second child, Nathan. We have continued to serve the the Lord through all these years, and on September 9, 2018, I was ordained as a Deacon. I love the Lord with all my heart and I will continue to serve Him the rest of my days. He has blessed me beyond anything I can think or imagine!
Food Ministry Director
Sherri Randell
Sherri has a desire to serve the Lord by meeting people’s needs. What better opportunity than to be able to feed the hungry?! Being a food ministry director is so much more than putting a meal on a plate. It’s allowing family and friends a time of fellowship and bonding. Sherri has been working in this area of ministry for over 30 years.
In 1972, Sherri asked Jesus into her heart. Growing up, although things were difficult at times in the home, her momma taught her to love and serve others. The food ministry allows her to use her gifts in unique ways. She is honored to be a part of such a sweet church as 40th and looks forward to seeing the Lord grow this church family not only in number but in a desire to know the Lord in a personal way.
